The gown is said to have been designed by Alfredo Barraza, a Colombian fashion designer who is the official designer of the wardrobe of Binibining Pilipinas winners for the past ten years or so.

All Misses Philippines from the past 10 or 11 years wore ridiculous and cheap looking gowns from Alfredo Barraza (including Venus Raj's silver gown made of cheap fabrics; the Colombian designer should thank Venus for carrying the gown really well, she made it look expensive).
