"Ang corneas niya ay normal. Ang problema sa kanya ay ang likod ng mata o ang kurtina ng mata called the retina. ‘Yon ang defective sa kanya and it has been defective since pinanganak siya. So changing the cornea, which is sa harapan ng mata ay hindi makakabigay lunas sa kanyang karamdaman. To this day, wala pa tayong effective na retinal transplant," said Singson in an interview with ABS-CBN news.
AJ's family has endorsed the cornea to the eye bank. Fatima, on the other hand, is still thankful knowing that someone else will benefit from it.
