Miss Earth 2011 to be held in Manila

Originally scheduled on December 3, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand, Carousel Productions decided to move the pageant back to its roots - the Philippines. The announcement came after massive flooding has reached the business capitals of Thailand. Here's a copy of the letter from Carousel to pageant directors and delegates worldwide:

Although they understand the reason why the pageant has to be held in the Philippines, fans from around the globe are quite disappointed to see the country hosting it again. Past editions of the pageant held in the Philippines have one thing in common - poor production, very bad lighting and stage design (not to mention a good number of Filipino judges who will be voting for a very undeserving Miss Philippines once again). Thailand would have staged the grandest Miss Earth pageant ever.
